Arthritis is a disorder of the joints. It cannot be referred to as a single disease. There are more than 100 types of this disorder. People of all ages irrespective of race and gender can have or are having this disorder. Even children can have one or the other type of arthritis. But it occurs more commonly in women and old people.
The common symptoms of arthritis includes swelling, stiffness and pain in the joints. There are chances that arthritis can cause permanent changes in the joints. Some types of arthritis can even affect the lungs, kidneys, heart, skin and eyes along with the joints.

Not able to walk
Unable to use hand
Fatigue and Malaise
In addition to these primary symptoms, secondary symptoms such as loss of flexibility, muscle weakness and decreased aerobic fitness occurs in advanced arthritis. This will affect the quality of life.
